美國錄音界與世界音樂界最重要的音樂獎項之一，由國家錄音藝術與科學學院頒發(fā)。學院由錄音業(yè)的專業(yè)人士所組成，目的在于獎勵過去一年中業(yè)界岀色的成就。格萊美獎是美國四個主要音樂獎之一(另三個為公告牌音樂獎、全美音樂獎和搖滾名人堂收錄典禮)。格萊美獎每年2月頒發(fā)。

格萊美獎科普

格萊美，美國每年年度大型音樂評獎大獎，由美國國家與科學學會舉辦。

“格萊美”(GRAMMY)是英文Gramophone(留聲機)的變異諧音。以它命名的音樂獎迄今已有50年歷史，其獎杯形狀如一架老式的留聲機。

1957年，美國洛杉磯一批音樂人和唱片公司管理人員倡議成立一個代表音樂制品藝術和科學的機構，并通過這個機構鼓勵有才華的音樂家、歌手及幕后音樂制作人員。美國國家錄音藝術與科學學會(簡稱錄音學會)及名為格萊美的音樂獎因此誕生。

首屆格萊美音樂獎于1958年頒發(fā)，以后錄音學會每年舉行一次頒獎儀式，獎項也由最初時的26項增加到28大類共101項。美國當?shù)貢r間2011年4月6日，美國錄音藝術科學院宣布，2012年起將把格萊美音樂獎(GrammY Awards)獎項從原本的109個減為78個。

格萊美是世界范圍內最具影響力的音樂大獎之一，被譽為“音樂界的奧斯卡”，由美國國家錄音與科學學會舉行的一個年度大型音樂評獎活動。
